We were tasked with substantial remediation efforts at Genesis Lake in Bunurong Memorial Park, Dandenong South, Victoria, to address adverse weather impacts and protect essential infrastructure in the area.
Our scope of work included:
- dewatering the lake
- removal of unsuitable materials
- stabilising the lake bank with rocks
- planting 1,300 ephemeral marsh and terrestrial plants in the newly stabilised area.
Facing a range of unknowns prior to the lake’s dewatering, conditions deviated significantly from the original design. Despite these challenges, we effectively communicated with stakeholders and optimised designs on-site, earning praise for minimal community disruption.
