Unyte supplied a range of plant and equipment to assist in the removal and replacement of the Rail Bridge that spans the Goulbourn River bridge in Mooroopna.
The works were completed in a tight five-week program working under a rail occupation scenario.
Unyte’s scope of works involved:
- Construction of access tracks for 700T Crane Construction of crane hardstands for 700T crane
Construction of 2 no retaining walls (104m and 64m long) - Removal of existing bridge abutment footings
- Removal of existing ballast and disposal
- Embankment widening and strengthening
- Placement of railway capping and top ballast on up and down approaches
